GREAT GOLDEN RETRIEVER ROUNDUP 2012
Starting on June 15 with a BBQ dinner at the Pagosa Lodge and continuing a fun filled day on June 16 at the Town Park athletic field, the Golden Retriever (and canine friends) event is fun for participants and spectators alike. Local Pagosans can get $5 off if they register at the Chamber before Friday. The event was a hit last year with over 50 participants, some coming a far distance just to be here.
Full schedule of events:
Friday, June 15 - Pagosa Lodge:
Registration begins at 5pm
BBQ buffet dinner 6-7:30pm ($11.95 per person) cash bar and live music.
All dogs are welcome to play in the Courtyard!
8-9:30am: Gather at the Springs Resort,165 Hot Springs Blvd.
9:30am: The Golden Parade begins with a trot down the Riverwalk and intoTownPark.
10am: The festivities begin in Town Athletic Park! Many vendors, lots of food along with a beer and wine garden are available all day long.
Approx 10:00am - 2:30pm: Events and Activities. Agility Demonstrations and Fun Competitions. Race for the "treat," best trick and more!
3pm: Health Clinic: Get answers to some Golden specific Vet issues. Dr Dwight Hooton and Dr Greg Schick are scheduled to participate.
4pm: Awards Ceremony at the Gazebo Area.
At dusk we will enjoy a movie in the park, bring your chairs, your Golden and enjoy a beautiful summer night watching UP - an award winning computer-animated comedy-adventure film.

Registration fee is $25 per dog. This includes a goody bag with Golden treats, and all Saturday events listed above. We are happy to announce this year we will also have large tents for cooling areas and of course the beautiful San Juan River to play in.
