AUCTION FOR THE ANIMALS 2011
|
Have you ever wanted a new piece of original art or sculpture for your home? How about a beautiful 14K gold bear and diamond accent necklace custom created by Summer Phillips or a Reuben Gonzalez racquetball racquet along with a generous punch pass at PLPOA Recreation Center and a one hour private racquetball lesson? How about a wonderful getaway package to Durango with accommodations at the General Palmer Hotel, tickets to the Creede Repertory Theatre, or a golf package at Pagosa Springs Golf Club? Curiosity aroused? Then you should consider coming on down to the 17th Annual Humane Society's Auction for the Animals and see for yourself all the wonderful items up for bid in the live and silent auctions. The Brown Bag Raffle will be back again this year as well. There will be something for everyone and at a price point for everyone, too! It will be a great opportunity to do your holiday shopping early this year!
This popular Pagosa event will be Friday, August 26, 2011, at the Ross Aragon Community Center. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the silent and brown bag auctions followed by the live auction at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are the same as last year: $25 through 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 25 and $30 at the door. The price of a ticket includes gourmet hors d'oeuvres catered by Alley House Grille and Farrago, delicious desserts created by Pastry Chef Kellie Stevens, microbrewery beer, soft drinks, and this year a very special wine selection generously donated by Gary and Becky Anderson of Colleyville, Texas. The Auction for the Animals will be serving two wines from Scott Harvey Winery, located in the heart of Amador County in California: a red blend 2008 Mountain Selection "Barbera", which is created in the old world Italian, food friendly style and "One Last Kiss", a white blend characterized as a "great hot tub wine!"
