Mia is a sweet 1 year old Border Collie that enjoys retrieving and playing with her canine friends. She also likes to play in the kiddy pools we have in our play yards. Cookie is a 6 year old Calico that just needs a place of her own with a human companion that will love on her once in a while. She is clean and quiet and enjoys our outdoor enclosure very much. Featured pets are updated on Mondays, and adoptable and found animals are updated daily, so check back regularly. We occasionally receive “barn” cats that are available for a nominal adoption fee of only $10. Please inquire at the Shelter at 970-731-4771 for current availability. Animal Report Form. We also post animals that have been found and are reported in our

Chocolate Cake | The 2013 Humane Society Chocolate Auction dinner and fundraiser was held on Saturday, March 16th at the Pagosa Youth Center with a great turnout as always for this annual event. Doors opened at 5:30 p.m. with socializing and viewing of the decadent chocolate creations followed by a delicious lasagna dinner and the very successful auction. See the photos. |

The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs (HSPS) Logo T-Shirts are available in the Thrift Store. The T-shirt is pre-shrunk 100% Ultra Cotton® and available in many colors and adult sizes with the HSPS logo, including the 2013 short-sleeve t-shirts with some new, fun, bright colors for spring. Proceeds from the t-shirt sales support the HSPS Animal Shelter dogs and cats.
