Max is a gentle big dog who is approximately 7 years old. He came to the shelter as a stray and his former owners cannot be found. Max could truly benefit from finding a loving home. Max has been at the shelter since 2/15/10. (Pet ID# 9844). |

Link is a super-friendly white and black male cat approximately 9 months old. He enjoys cuddling and playing with people and his cat buddies at the shelter. Link has been at the shelter since 11/08/09. (Pet ID# 9610). |

Pets are updated every Wednesday, so check back regularly. A number of feral cats are available for $10.00 to anyone with a barn. Read special adoption success stories at Happy Tails.

What's New At The Shelter
Jackie Denton, a volunteer for the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs, just brought a new Cat Tree for the Adoptable Cat room! The cats are given group play time for two-three hours each day, and they are loving their new toy!

Donate a Cat Evacsak to the Animal Shelter to provide fast and easily accessible, comfortable, and durable housing in an emergency evacuation by animal shelter employees and/or fire department. Since 1992, the Evacsak has been used successfully by professional animal rescuers to help save lives. Call or email us today to make your Evacsak donation through the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs to receive the non-profit discount from the manufacturer (Size 27" x 27", $48.49 total cost includes shipping and handling). Thanks to everyone's generosity, we reached our goal for the Kuranda Dog Beds, and our new goal is the Evacsak.

The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs needs your help–and we really need it now–to complete the new Animal Shelter project on Cloman Boulevard. The The new Phase I incoming/isolation building is finished, and the adoption center must be started soon. The project will cost $1.2 million, and over $900,000 has already been raised.
